A 3-Year REsearch Project to Map the future of Legal work
Legal Hybrid work
HYBRID WORK (flexibel working arrangements) is one of the greatest shifts in legal work in the past century. As such, it will profoundly disrupt recruiting, training, and leadership in the legal sector.
I am dedicated to helping law firms capitalising the advantages of the new work life, while minimising its downsides.
Specifically, I am developing innovative and disruptive tools and protocols with regards to:
– recruiting (a break through in how to screen for insecure overachievers in an assessment that is virtually game proof)
– project management and task coordination (building, from the ground up, a lean and business lawyering specific platform)
– gender-based inclusion (building a multi-firm network for integrating research, leadership, crow-sourcing, masterminding, and networking to generate new best practices for the firms and female lawyers alike)
This is a multi-year research project that systematically maps the new work-life for lawyers. In collaboration with bar associations, law firms, and law students’ organizations, current lawyer-specific data is collected via surveys and analysed.
The goal is to identify opportunities and challenges related to all aspects of the talent management cycle, as well as leadership, in the new conditions.
Head Researcher Jens Näsström has built a uniquely long data series with lawyer metrics that stretches back to 2005. By comparing his data collected before the pandemic with current data (harvested under the pandemic), new patterns can be identified. These are then triangulated with the research of others’.
Most of the data is collected via anonymous online surveys. Particularly thorny areas of interest are explored in interviews.
